RURAL ORGANISATION
FOR SOCIAL EMANCIPATION

About Us

Why We Started

ROSE began with a simple act of giving.

Before 2022, our efforts were personal and individual—helping people in need with whatever we could offer. As we reached out to more people, we began to see a much larger reality.

There were many more individuals and families who needed support—children who needed educational assistance, women who wanted opportunities to earn, educated young people who lacked practical skills, and families struggling to build stable livelihoods.

One person could help a few. But the need was far greater.

“That realization led to the formation of Rural Organisation for Social Emancipation (ROSE) in 2022.”

We realised that meaningful change could happen when people came together, shared what they could, and worked collectively to support those in need.

This was the beginning of ROSE—and the beginning of our journey to create a larger network of people who believe that multiple hands can achieve what a few hands cannot.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to empower every individual with the support and opportunities they need to move towards a better and more secure life.

We believe that support is important when someone is facing an immediate need. At the same time, we look beyond immediate assistance by creating opportunities that can help individuals learn, develop skills, earn independently, and build sustainable livelihoods.

Through our work, we strive to respond to present needs while creating possibilities for a more secure future.

“We support when there is a need today, and work towards self-reliance for tomorrow.”

How We Make a Difference

We work closely with each individual to understand their needs and identify practical ways to support them. By bringing together people, resources, skills, partnerships, and opportunities, we turn identified needs into meaningful action.

“Our approach is people-centred, practical, collaborative, and focused on creating real and lasting impact.”
